Ecuador, August 2023. Nobis Holding de Inversiones and the María Guare Foundation carried out a strategic collaboration to work on the fight against gender violence in Ecuador. In a country where 70% of women have suffered some type of abuse in their lives, both organizations are committed to promoting concrete actions to prevent and ensure a safe work and family environment.

The statistics provided by the National Institute of Statistics and Censuses (INEC) highlight the urgent need to intervene in this problem. Therefore, joint actions will focus on carrying out training and prevention workshops aimed at raising awareness among Nobis employees. These spaces will provide tools to recognize and address situations of violence, promoting the construction of safe and respectful work and family environments.

Additionally, the María Guare Foundation will also contribute from its experience in comprehensive care, providing legal, social and psychological support if necessary in the organization.

“We are joining forces to make a difference in the lives of our collaborators and their families. It is essential that in the work space and in all areas where we operate we find a place of peace, support and security. The prevention and eradication of gender violence require a joint and continuous commitment. Together, we aspire to create a safer and fairer society for everyone,” said Isabel Noboa, president of Nobis Holding de Inversiones.

This strategic alliance represents a firm step towards the prevention and eradication of gender-based violence, laying the foundations for a more equal and respectful future. Both organizations invite other companies and actors in society to join this cause, since only through collaborative efforts can we build a sustainable and significant change in the lives of Ecuadorian women.
